Base (Passion) from OPI, gold glitters from Canmake.
Had wanted to do something more fanciful for 'my day' but after I painted the tips with the gold glitters, I fell in love with this simple and elegant look.... The subtle base really helps to bring out the glitters. And after two coats of top coat, the mega shine just made the nails look like gel nails!

Hi, have you found out why your Nailtek Quicken frosted? I have the same problem with my OPI topcoat too! Not all the time though, I have been using it for more than a year but only experienced the frosting problem not more than 3 or 4 times.
It was so so so frustrating! After a nice nail art, applied top coat and it frosted, had to removed everything and re-do again. =(
Hi ii,
Sad to hear about your problem. It sure sucks big time!
Nope, I was not having any luck in finding the reason behind the frosting problem so I gave up. I've been using Seche Vita for quite a while now and though I love it to death, there are a couple of times when I do experience some frostings on the tips as well.
Actually, you dont have to remove your beautiful creation because of the frost. What I always do is to just applying another layer of top coat and the problem's solved.
You can also try applying such quick drying top coats in a 'windless' environment (ie: no fan, no aircon). This tip was given to me by a fellow cotter.
Hope the above works for you!
I have tried applying another coat on the frosted coat, sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't.
I have also noticed that my base coat always look dull on the tips.
Although I have the aircon on all the time but it's 'windless' because it's very far away from the spot I do my nails. But I will try applying it with my aircon off next time and see how it goes.
Could it be the body temperature? I have very cold hands. Do you have cold hands too?
Hmm... The 'applying another layer of top coat' method always worked for me though...
I dont think I've got cold hands. Maybe you can get another person to try using your top and base coat and see if they get the same results.
